In November, something magical happens in Panama City Beach, Florida. Athletes from around the world come together to compete for the ultimate in endurance - Ironman Florida. This triathlon started back in 1999 and has been one of the most successful, and popular, on the Ironman circuit.
The course consists of three parts - 2.4-miles of swimming, 112-miles of biking, and a 26.2-mile marathon run totaling to 141 miles of strength and endurance. Race day is on Saturday, but there are events and attractions that happen during the week leading to the big race. It's a perfect time for anyone who is a fan of Triathlons to come and see one of the biggest participant spectacles in Panama City Beach, Florida.
